"A labor of love" is how proprietors Terry and Chris Kirtz describe the restoration of the 1892 Victorian "Thompson House" in historic Gaithersburg, Maryland. Entering The Gaithersburg Inn is like stepping back in time, with two inviting guest bedrooms, a formal front parlor, dining room, sitting room with fireplace, and open and closed porches. The Inn also includes a half acre of beautifully landscaped grounds which can be used for outdoor weddings and social gatherings.

Combining Gaithersburg’s railroad past, present and future with a unique program that literally brings the arts into the streets, "All Aboard the Art Train" will showcase local talent, increase the profile of Gaithersburg’s public arts program, and provide an opportunity to connect the business and cultural communities.

The Art Train project is sponsored by the Gaithersburg Arts and Monuments Funding Corporation (GAMFC), a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, charitable organization. GAMFC’s mission is to heighten the awareness of revitalization and arts initiatives within the City of Gaithersburg, and to raise and allocate funds to support those programs and initiatives.

The project is also supported by the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce, a diverse organization representing over 450 local businesses. The GGCC exists for member prosperity, and its programs and activities are directed at creating a favorable business environment in which all members will grow and succeed.
