The word Tawa means four in Quechua, which was the language used by the regions that formed the ancient Inca empire. Tawa clothes are made of alpaca fibers by Peruvian artisans who have inherited the old techniques used by their ancestors. The alpaca is a millenary animal that lives in the Andes of Peru and Bolivia. The elegant designs of our ponchos, caps, shawls, scarves and hats are a mixture of traditional and modern cultures.
