On November 4, 2015 the Gaithersburg Board of Supervisors of Elections officially certified the winners of the Gaithersburg municipal election for Mayor as Jud Ashman and for City Council as Ryan Spiegel, Robert Wu and Neil Harris.

The newly-elected officials will be sworn in at a special Mayor and City Council Meeting on November 9, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. The Mayor will serve a two year term and each of the Council Members will serve four year terms. The next municipal election for Mayor and two City Council Members will take place on November 7, 2017.

After taking authorized provisional ballots into consideration, the total number of ballots cast in the November 3, 2015 election increased from 3,683 to 3,704. The voter turnout percentage was officially 11.09%.

Pre Election Information:

On September 22, 2015 the Board of Supervisors of Elections certified the candidacies of Jud Ashman, Darline D.H. Bell-Zuccarelli and Henry F. Marraffa Jr. for the position of Mayor and Neil H. Harris, Laurie-Anne Sayles, Ryan Spiegel, and Robert T. Wu for the three City Council positions up for election in the City of Gaithersburg on November 3, 2015. The Mayor elected in 2015 will serve a two-year term; the Council Members will each serve the community at-large for a four-year term.

City residents who are registered to vote in Montgomery County are automatically registered to vote in City of Gaithersburg elections. The deadline to register for the upcoming City election is to be announced. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2015. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
