Summer in the City

The City of Gaithersburg is dedicated to providing your child with the best summer camp experience. To accomplish this goal, the City has three components to the summer camp program. The first component is our Specialty Camp Program which includes clinics such as volleyball, tennis, and skateboarding. The second component is the Youth Activity Program (YAPs), a shorter day camp experience. Finally, our All Day Camp Program offers campers a full range of activities including games and sports to swimming and field trips.

Due to Montgomery County Public Schools extending the school year, the first day of the summer camp season will now be Wednesday, June 22, 2016. Given that session 1 will only last for 8 days, reduced fees are being offered for this session.

A pro-rated credit to your account has been automatically processed for all campers registered for session 1. If you have the payment plan option for summer programs, this credit has already been applied to your next payment. If you do not have the payment plan option, the credit will remain on your account to be used for other City programs until June 1, 2016. If the balance has not been utilized by June 1st, the monies will automatically be returned to you via check or applied back to your credit card if this is how you made the original payment.
