4th of July Celebration

Independence Day Celebration

Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks - Monday, July 4, 2016

Gaithersburg's 4th of July celebration has a new home. An entire day’s worth of activities – all leading up to a spectacular fireworks display – will take place at historic Bohrer Park at Summit Hall Farm.

This nearly 60-acre park provides the perfect setting for an all-day (and evening!) family outing. It’s home to the Gaithersburg Water Park, Skate Park and Mini Golf course, the Activity Center, and walking paths, a playground and ponds. Special activities are planned at these facilities throughout the day and even after the fireworks. Note that the Water Park will be open for the exclusive use of City residents and aquatics members only on July 4.

The Fireworks Display & Parking

The half hour fireworks show begins at dusk, about 9:30 p.m. The spectacular display will feature bursts that launch up to 500 feet in amazing colors and styles. Optimal viewing areas are in Bohrer Park and at various points in surrounding locations.
