The Gaithersburg Community Museum invites children ages 5 to 10 to learn about birdwatching during a special Spring Break Discovery Day on Thursday, March 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per child. Materials are limited; reservations are strongly recommended.
Learn about the birds in your backyard with Second Chance Wildlife Center while decorating binoculars for birdwatching. The binoculars and a take-home birdwatching guide will prepare children for their new hobby wherever they go.
The Gaithersburg Community Museum is located at 9 South Summit Avenue. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with additional hours by appointment. Museum admission is free. This unique facility is also available to rent for business meetings and social occasions.
