Do you want a flexible, fun way to exercise?  If so, we have the perfect solution for you!  Come join us at the City of Gaithersburg for a coed, multilevel water exercise classes.

AQUA BOOT CAMP
Length: 45 minutes
A no-impact and high intensity program that emphasizes cardiovascular endurance as well as flexibility, range of motion and core strength.  Classes are held in the deep end of the pool and flotation belts are provided.  You do not need to be a strong swimmer to participate; however, a comfort level in deep water is a must.  This is a challenging program recommended for active exercisers.

AQUA PILATES (CORE STRENGTHENING)
Length:  45 minutes
This class is based on movement and techniques from Pilates, yoga, and other disciplines to improve core strength and stabilization, balance, agility, and coordination. Most exercises are performed standing or walking in chest-deep water.  Pool noodles (provided) may be used for support.  Core-specific movements focus on abdominal strength, stretching, and toning. Relaxation and rhythmic breathing techniques are incorporated to increase mind/body awareness and reduce stress. This is a very low to non-impact, non-aerobic class suitable for all levels of fitness, including those with balance challenges on land.

AQUA KICKBOXING
Length:  45 minutes
Aqua kickboxing is an innovative class, combining the benefits of water resistance with the fun and energy of cardio kickboxing. You gain new skills as you boost defensive boxing moves. This lively aerobic workout combines strength training with self The buoyancy of the water provides extra resistance as well as the opportunity for modifications risk of impact injury. Increase your endurance, agility and coordination as well as balance and core stability.

DEEP WATER WORKOUT
Age: Teen and Adult
Length: 45 minutes
A no-impact, but challenging workout, designed to burn fat, increase cardiovascular fitness, range of motion and muscle tone. Participants use water flotation belts and Styrofoam barbells.

DEEP WATER RUNNING AND CONDITIONING
Length:  45 minutes
A no-impact and high intensity program that emphasizes cardiovascular endurance as well as flexibility, range of motion and core strength.  Classes are held in the deep end of the pool and flotation belts are provided.  You do not need to be a strong swimmer to participate; however, a comfort level in deep water is a must.  This is a challenging program recommended for active exercisers.

SHALLOW (Chest Deep) WATER WORKOUT
Age: Teen and Adult
Length: 45 minutes
A low impact but high intensity water class where no swimming skills are needed. Exercises designed to improve your fitness level from head to toe are performed to lively, motivating music and are easy to follow.
