Streets & Special Projects

This activity provides for the preservation of 77 miles of City maintained streets, in a serviceable condition. The annual program of street maintenance is designed to keep utilization at a maximum, while minimizing the cost and traffic inconvenience. In addition, staff also works on many special projects in parks and other City properties.
Services include, but are not limited to, street and alley pavement maintenance such as spot patching, crack sealing and resurfacing; constructing, maintaining and repairing sidewalks, concrete curbs and gutters; street sweeping; mowing and median beautification; and snow removal.
