June 1 - 7th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert
City Hall Concert Pavilion
3:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Gospel music, the uniquely American art form that gave rise to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll, will be celebrated in all of its glory as the City of Gaithersburg presents the 7th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Extravaganza. Performances of all styles of Christian music and worship by local and regional choirs, choruses, quartets, dancers, and soloists. The celebration will also feature food and crafts for purchase. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.

Spats takes us back to a time before radio, before TV, and even before video games, when all we had for entertainment was each other – and our imaginations. Juggling, unicycling, music, and physical comedy bring alive the excitement and warmth of Vaudeville.

June 15 - Bel Cantanti Opera Company presents “Die Fledermaus”
City Hall Concert Pavilion
7 p.m.
Music by Johann Strauss II, his most celebrated and popular operetta. Set in 19th-century Vienna, Dr. Falke takes revenge on his friend, Gabriel Von Eisenstein, for playing a practical joke on him. Colorful characters collide at a lavish party filled with intrigue and disguise in this delightful farce filled with lively melodies and charming sentiment.

This Parents’ Choice Award-winning family musician writes and performs songs that entertain, educate, and empower audiences of all ages and abilities. He brings a high energy, interactive concert that is a celebration of possibilities. With fun props and a colorful set, his concerts are a pep rally, rock ‘n’ roll show and beach party all on one stage.

The show stars Ryan Buckle, who sings and plays songs from his debut CD, “Swamp Stomp Boogie.” The music highlights discoveries kids can make at the zoo, inspiring them to ask questions like: Ever wonder how birds can fly? What shadows are? Where crocodiles live?

August 8 - Thursday Morning Kids Concerts: Uno, Dos, Tres con Andrés!
City Hall Concert Pavilion
10:30 - 11:30 a.m.
This interactive children’s show teaches Spanish language and Latin American culture. Children sing, shake and sound out rhythms while trying regional Latin dances and practicing Spanish words.
