Jubilation Day Gospel Concert
  • June 1 - 7th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Concert
    City Hall Concert Pavilion
    3:30 - 8:30 p.m.
    Gospel music, the uniquely American art form that gave rise to jazz, blues, R&B, and rock and roll, will be celebrated in all of its glory as the City of Gaithersburg presents the 7th Annual Jubilation Day Gospel Extravaganza. Performances of all styles of Christian music and worship by local and regional choirs, choruses, quartets, dancers, and soloists. The celebration will also feature food and crafts for purchase. Commemorative t-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.

    The show stars Ryan Buckle, who sings and plays songs from his debut CD, “Swamp Stomp Boogie.” The music highlights discoveries kids can make at the zoo, inspiring them to ask questions like: Ever wonder how birds can fly? What shadows are? Where crocodiles live?
