Monday, May 13, 2013Attempted Burglary

Strong Arm Robbery
| On 05/13/2013 at 1:40 a.m., a strong arm robbery was reported in the 300 block of West Deer Park Road. The victim stated that on 05/11/2013 at 10:30 p.m., he was walking in the 1000 block of West Side Drive when an unknown individual approached him from behind and hit him. The unknown suspect then removed property from the victim. |
Thursday, May 09, 2013Attempted Strong Arm Robbery
| On 05/09/2013 at 11:22 p.m., an attempted strong arm robbery was reported in the 400 block of Victory Farm Drive. As the victim was walking, three unknown suspects approached the victim from behind and demanded property. The suspects then physically assaulted him. | On 05/09/2013 at 7:20 p.m., a residential burglary was reported in the 900 block of Westside Drive. Sometime on 05/02/2013 between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., unknown suspects entered his residence and removed property. |
Wednesday, May 08, 2013Arrest
| Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department, with assistance from officers of the Bladensburg Police Department, arrested 63-year-old Larry Francis Jackson of Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC on April 29, 2013. Jackson was charged with two counts of misdemeanor theft and one count of felony theft in relation to two residential burglaries that occurred on February 7, 2013 in the unit block of Virginia Drive in Gaithersburg and on February 14, 2013 in the unit block of Brighton Drive. |
Strong Arm Robbery
| On 05/08/2013 at 3:39 a.m., a strong arm robbery was reported at Borher Park located at 506 South Frederick Avenue. Two unknown suspects approached the victim as he was walking and demanded his cell phone. The victim refused and the two unknown suspects physically assaulted him taking his cell phone. | Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department arrested 26-year-old Joshua Richards of no fixed address on April 30, 2013. Richards was charged with two counts of second degree burglary and theft less than $1,000 in relation to two commercial burglaries that occurred on April 28 and April 30, 2013 at the Negola's Ark Veterinary Hospital located at 9401 Fields Road in Gaithersburg. |
