MINUTES OF A SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY, JUNE 30, 2008

A special meeting of the Mayor and City Council was called to order at 5:30 p.m., Mayor Katz presiding.  Council Members present: Ashman, Drzyzgula, Sesma and Spiegel.  Absent:  Marraffa.

I. REQUEST FOR A MOTION

Mayor Katz requested the following motion:

Motion was made by Council Member Ashman, seconded by Council Member Drzyzgula, that the Mayor and City Council conduct a closed Executive Session tonight at City Hall, Monday, June 30, 2008, immediately following the special meeting of the Mayor and City Council, pursuant to Section 10-508(a)(1)(i), State Government Article, of the Annotated Code of Maryland, to discuss a personnel matter.  The Mayor and City Council will conduct a second interview with a City Manager finalist and review and discuss comments solicited from citizens and staff.

Vote:    4-0

II. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to come before this session of the City Council, the meeting was duly adjourned at approximately 5:31 p.m.
