Bids/Requests for Proposals

General Information

The City of Gaithersburg consists of nine departments.  These departments work closely with the Procurement Division of the Department of Finance & Administration to purchase a variety of goods and services ranging from office supplies to multi-million dollar construction projects.

Each department is responsible for preparing and soliciting bids for purchases that meet the City's bidding guidelines.  Section 57 of the City Charter requires that the City Manager advertise for Invitations for Bids (IFB) or Requests for Proposals (RFP) for all contracts or purchases $30,000 and above.  Required IFBs or RFPs will be posted on this web page and on eMaryland Marketplace at ebidmarketplace.com
