Campaign Finance System

The City of Gaithersburg is issuing this request for information (RFI) to gather information about Campaign Finance Systems. The City is interested in obtaining information about Campaign Finance systems for possible use in its 2013 election cycle. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This is not a procurement venue and no award or pre-qualifications will be made as a result of this request for information.

BACKGROUND:

The City holds elections for the office of Mayor every four years and for staggered terms for City Council Members every two years. Candidates running for these offices and political committees are required to submit campaign finance information to the City's Board of
Supervisors of Elections on a regular basis throughout an election cycle. In election year 2011 the City implemented a custom-built web-based Campaign Financing system. The system can be found online at the following address: http://campaignfinancing.gaithersburgmd.gov.
