Suspect Arrested for Shooting and Drug Possession

Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Investigative Section and Street Crimes Unit arrested 26-year-old Brandon Julian Jackson-Green of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring, MD on April 24, 2012. Jackson-Green has been charged with assault-first degree, assault- second degree, reckless endangerment, possession of a handgun, use of a firearm in a violent crime, malicious destruction of property, discharging a firearm in the City limits, possession of a dangerous weapon within the City limits, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of controlled dangerous substance- marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance-not marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a firearm while engaged in drug trafficking.
On February 17, 2012 at 10 p.m., officers from the Gaithersburg and Montgomery County Police Departments responded to the unit block of Nancy Place for a shooting that had just occurred. Residents in the area heard the sounds of shots fired and called police. Investigation revealed that a suspect, later identified as Jackson-Green, fired five 9mm shots at the front door of an occupied apartment and fled in a Nissan Altima. No one was injured from the shooting.
Investigation revealed that the shooting was the result of a drug dispute between the victim and Jackson-Greene. An arrest warrant was obtained for Jackson-Greene and served on April 24, 2012. Search of Jackson-Greene’s residence produced additional drug related charges.
Jackson-Greene is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
