Resident Registration Now Open for Gaithersburg Summer Camps
Resident registration is now open for Gaithersburg’s popular summer camp programs. All-day camps for elementary and middle school ages, specialty middle school camps and half-day Youth Activity Programs for elementary ages will be conducted in four separate sessions (with the exception of the specialty middle school video camp, Innov8, which consists of two extended sessions). Session I runs from June 18 - June 29; Session II from July 2 - 13; Session III from July 16 - 27; and Session IV from July 3 - August 3. This year the all-day-camps will operate from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extended aftercare available for an additional fee from 4 to 6 p.m.
The City of Gaithersburg offers summer programs to suit the needs and interests of our residents. New for 2012 is FunZone, which will be held at Fields Road Elementary School. Camp hours for FunZone are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This camp is designed for children ages 6 to 11 as of September 1, 2012.
In addition to the summer camps, the City also offers specialized art camps, sports and dance clinics, and four sessions of the School of Skate. Summer camps and clinics are held at a variety of convenient locations throughout the City, including schools in the Kentlands/Lakelands area and youth centers in the heart of Olde Towne.
Registration for City of Gaithersburg residents is going on now. Open registration begins March 1.
