Police Seek Public's Help to Identify Armed Robbery/Assault Suspect

Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Investigative Section are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Gaithersburg. On June 6, 2012, at approximately 7:25 a.m., both the Gaithersburg Police and Montgomery County Police responded to the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive for a stabbing that just occurred.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was in her vehicle preparing to leave when an unknown Hispanic male approached the victim on the passenger side and then entered the vehicle demanding property. Both the victim and suspect struggled, at which time the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. The suspect then fled on a bicycle in an unknown direction. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 35-37 years-old, 5’00”-5’01”, thin build, with short black hair and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and black pants. The suspect was also armed with a large knife.
