Gaithersburg Camera Club Exhibits at Kentlands Mansion

Posted 6/19/2012

Portland Head LighthouseThe City of Gaithersburg presents The Photographer's Eye, a juried exhibit featuring images by members of the Gaithersburg Camera Club, at Kentlands Mansion from May 25 through July 22, 2012.  This exhibit, showcasing the broad range of talent of the GCC, was juried by Mark van Bergh.

The Gaithersburg Camera Club serves upper Montgomery County and its almost 150 members range from beginning to professional photographers. The GCC regularly exhibits throughout the Washington, DC area. All levels of experience are represented in this show including those who are exhibiting for the first time along with award-winning photographers.  Landscape, architectural, nature, portrait, and abstract photography will be featured.

The Gaithersburg Camera Club meets twice a month, and members and guests may attend all meetings.  The educational meeting is on the second Monday and features a speaker who informs members on a specific area of photography.  The competition meeting is on the fourth Monday.  Members are allowed to enter their photographs for review by a certified judge.  Awards are presented based on the judge's decisions.  Members may also talk with judges on competition night.  For dates, times, and locations visit www.gaithersburgcameraclub.org

Located at 320 Kent Square Road, the Mansion Gallery strives to foster a dialogue between the arts and the community. Viewing is by appointment only.  Please call the Mansion at 301-258-6425 to schedule a visit.

Please note that most artwork is for sale and all images are copyrighted by the artist.  For more information please contact Andi Rosati at 301-258-6394 or arosati@gaithersburgmd.gov or visit Kentlands Mansion online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/kentlandsmansion.
