Gaithersburg Mayor, City Attorney Elected to State-wide Organizations

Posted 6/29/2012

During the annual Maryland Municipal League (MML) Convention held in Ocean City June 24 through 27, 2012, Gaithersburg Mayor Sidney Katz was elected to the MML Board of Directors, and City Attorney Lynn Board was elected Secretary of the Maryland Municipal Attorney’s Association (MMAA).

Founded in 1936, MML represents 157 municipal governments in the State of Maryland.  The organization works to strengthen and support municipal government through advocacy and the development of effective leadership.

An affiliate of MML, the Maryland Municipal Attorney’s Association offers a forum for attorneys to meet and share ideas and information on municipal law issues. The organization also sponsors educational programs on state and federal legislation, court decisions, administrative rulings, and other subjects of concern to municipal attorneys.
