Register Now for Fall Recreation Classes

The Fall 2012 Leisure Times, Gaithersburg’s comprehensive guide to recreation programs and services, is now available at City facilities. It is also mailed to most households within Gaithersburg City limits, and can be viewed online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/classes. Class registration is now open.
The fall session introduces a variety of new classes and programs for the whole family. Change up your fitness regime with CardioSculpt, a combination of cardiovascular moves and full body sculpting. Go with the flow with Nia, a movement practice that blends dance, martial, and healing arts. Strengthen your core in the water with Aqua Pilates. Get creative and clean with Beginner’s Soap Making. Younger family members will enjoy Mommy and Me Arts and Crafts and Creative Writing for Ages 9-13. Learn a few new moves with Country Western Specialty. Feel taller and lighter with Release Neck and Shoulder Tension and Ease Pain in Low Back and Hips. Integrate Yoga and Pilates in one routine with Yogalates. As always, you’ll find class favorites including Zumba, ballroom dance, Step Rocks!, Well-Mannered Dog Training, Yoga, computer classes, and more.
Arts classes and workshops for children and adults, including painting, drawing, musical theater, sewing, and stained glass, are offered at the Arts Barn, Gaithersburg’s premiere cultural arts facility. Registration for these classes is ongoing and takes place year ‘round.
