Support Literary Arts, Gain Visibility with Gaithersburg Book Festival Sponsorship

Posted 8/6/2012

Growing Annual Event Made Possible by Generosity of Corporations and Individuals

If we told you there was a way to reach tens of thousands of the region’s most well-educated individuals, would you be interested in knowing how? The 2013 Gaithersburg Book Festival, scheduled for May 18, offers just such an opportunity.

Attendance at the Festival, which was founded in 2010, has almost doubled each year – drawing visitors from around the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area, as well as numerous states across the country.  In just its third year, the 2012 Festival attracted 17,000 attendees. The event is also gaining popularity among the local and national literary elite as the event to attend each May.

“As your company plans its corporate giving campaign for 2013, now is the time to consider a sponsorship of the Gaithersburg Book Festival,” said Jud Ashman, Festival founder and a member of the Gaithersburg City Council.  “Sponsoring the Gaithersburg Book Festival is a highly visible way to show that you support the community and value the arts, while gaining visibility with our attendees, who are among the region’s best-read individuals.”

Because of the sheer scope of the Festival, the City of Gaithersburg is able to fund only a modest portion of the event’s expenses. The remainder of the Festival is made possible only by the generosity of corporate partners, foundations and individuals, whose contributions help us deliver the world-class event that attendees have come to expect.

“The Gaithersburg's Book Festival engages the community at all levels and backgrounds and is built on the foundation of a love of reading and the cultural arts,” said Bobby Zeiller, vice president of SunBrook Partners, a developer of the Crown community in Gaithersburg. “Attracting the attention of individuals from around the region and across the country, the Festival is one of the premier cultural events in the area.  We are proud to support such an enriching activity.”

The Festival offers sponsorships to fit a variety of budgets, and organizers can tailor a sponsorship package to fit any company’s needs. Depending on the level of sponsorship, your company can be featured prominently in Festival-related advertising, as well as the GBF News e-newsletter, blog, website and Festival program; be mentioned in select radio promotions; receive complimentary exhibit space and/or exclusive naming rights to author pavilions; and earn complimentary admission to the exclusive Author Reception preceding the Festival.

For more information, visit the Gaithersburg Book Festival website at http://gaithersburgbookfestival.org/participate/sponsor. If you have questions, or would like to develop a customized sponsorship to meet your marketing objectives, e-mail Jud Ashman at jashman@gaithersburgmd.gov.
