Get Crafty, Make New Friends at Arts Barn

The City of Gaithersburg invites you and your favorite gal pals to “Girls Night Out,” a new workshop series featuring unique jewelry and ornament making in a social atmosphere at the Arts Barn.  Bring a friend or come solo as you learn how to create one of a kind holiday gifts and decorations while enjoying the company of other crafty women.  No experience is necessary. 

Learn Right Angle Weave stitch, the basis for many different types of bead weaving, and make a Right Angle Weave bracelet in fall colors.  Workshops will be held on Fridays, October 5 and December 14.  The cost for each workshop is $55, $51 for City of Gaithersburg residents. 

Create beautiful collage jewelry pendants, earrings or pins using paint and unique translucent papers.  Collage Jewelry workshops will be held on Fridays, October 12, November 2 and 16, and December 7.  The cost is $50, $46 for City residents. 

Learn how to create a stunningly soft and distinctive bracelet using spiral stitch and seed beads.  The Spiral Stitch Bracelet workshop will be held on Friday, October 19. The cost is $50, $46 for City residents. 

Craft unique holiday ornaments using collage.  Collage Ornament workshops will be held Fridays, November 9 and 30.  The cost is $50, $46 for City residents.
