Santa Returns to Gaithersburg’s Jingle Jubilee
Posted 11/15/2012
Welcome the holidays with a traditional tree lighting ceremony, holiday music, and a special visit from Santa at Gaithersburg’s Jingle Jubilee. The festivities take place at the City Hall Concert Pavilion in Olde Towne on Saturday, December 1, 2012 beginning at 6 p.m.
This joyous event, perfect for families with young children, features performances by the Gaithersburg High School Holiday Ensemble Band and Pritchard Music Academy.
Costumed characters, lots of holiday giveaways and a magnificent tree lighting ceremony create a delightful holiday mood. Be sure to bring your camera to capture memorable holiday photos with Santa, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
To keep things toasty at Jingle Jubilee, you can purchase hot chocolate from the Gaithersburg Student Union and hot apple cider, coffee and kettle corn, with proceeds benefiting Autism Speaks.
The City Hall Concert Pavilion is located at 31 South Summit Avenue. Admission to Jingle Jubilee is free. Be sure to dress warmly for this winter wonderland. Please note that should the event be cancelled due to inclement weather, the tree lighting only will take place on Monday, December 3 at 7 p.m., prior to the regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council.
