Winter Recreation Guide Now Available

The Winter 2013 Leisure Times, Gaithersburg’s comprehensive guide to recreation programs, services and amenities, is now available at City facilities.  It is also mailed to most households within Gaithersburg City limits, and can be viewed online at www.gaithersburgmd.gov/classes.

Winter class registration for City of Gaithersburg residents begins December 3.  Nonresidents may register beginning December 5. 

With programs for preschoolers, youth, teens, and adults, you’ll discover an array of fitness, dance, aquatics and special interest offerings.  New classes this season include: Zumba Sentao, Bhangra Masala, Tango Fit, Warrior Fitness and MMA Bootcamp, Nia (non-impact aerobics), Latin Pop, Watershed Health in Your Community, and Grooming Your Dog.  As always, you’ll find class favorites including ballroom dance, water aerobics, Step Rocks!, Yoga, computer classes, and more.

Art classes and workshops for children and adults, including painting, drawing, musical theater, sewing, and stained glass, are offered at the Arts Barn, Gaithersburg’s premiere cultural arts facility.  Registration for these classes is ongoing and takes place year ‘round.
