ANNOUNCEMENT OF PLANS FOR
A CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION

Notice to the general public is hereby given that the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg plans to conduct a closed executive session immediately following the special meeting on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.  The meeting is proposed to be closed pursuant to the State Government Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, Section 10-508(a)(1)(i) to discuss the appointment, employment, assignment, promotion, discipline, demotion, compensation, removal, resignation, or performance evaluation of appointees, employees, or officials over whom it has jurisdiction.  The topic to be discussed is the City Manager hiring process.  The closed executive session will be conducted pursuant to a motion properly adopted during the special meeting of the Mayor and City Council on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
