BadgeThe Gaithersburg Police Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of volunteers who contribute their time and talents to promote public safety, form a liaison between the community and the police department, and assist in educating our community for a better understanding of the respective responsibilities of police and citizens.

Sometimes it is difficult for individuals to understand how they can contribute to improving the overall safety of Gaithersburg. The PAC allows members of the community to establish elationships
with police and other stakeholders to be more effective participants.

As part of the committee you will quickly learn the realities of law enforcement, and what opportunities exist to participate in improving the safety of our communities each and every day.

Being a member of the committee also exposes you to resources that are available, enhancing your knowledge and understanding of what our officers do and how law enforcement operates in Gaithersburg. Some of these resources are the Citizen Police Academy, Neighborhood Watch, and National Night Out Against Crime.

As a member of the committee you will have the opportunity to get to know and respect those who are sworn to protect our communities, providing the basis for a more collaborative environment, resulting in a better community.

Meeting Frequency:  Quarterly - Second Wednesday, except January and August

Time: 7 p.m.

Location: Activity Center at Bohrer Park
