The Gaithersburg Book Festival is Saturday, May 18, 2013, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
The Gaithersburg Book Festival Ad Hoc committee is charged with researching and developing the overall scope of the event; building partnerships with regional and local bookstores, publishers, writer centers, authors, colleges and universities to contribute to the success of the festival; supporting professional growth opportunities at the festival for aspiring writers; initiating opportunities for authors and readers to interact in dynamic and meaningful ways; developing and implementing a program to encourage reading in the community; seeking sponsors and other funding opportunities; and assisting with marketing and implementation of the festival.
The Gaithersburg Book Festival Ad Hoc Committee is a subcommittee of the Cultural Arts Advisory Committee.
