The City of Gaithersburg presents a multimedia exhibit of paintings and photography by the Art League of Germantown (ALOG). The exhibit runs from May 11 through July 5, 2012, at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to a free Artists’ Reception, featuring portrait drawing, art demonstrations, and fine art and crafts for purchase, on Wednesday, May 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The Art League of Germantown is a group of professional and amateur visual artists, fine crafters, and art appreciators, organized to further the careers of artists and to bring an appreciation of fine art and fine crafts to the community. ALOG is involved in a wide variety of art activities, providing members with the stimulation to thrive in their personal art goals; encouraging enthusiastic support and appreciation for art and for artists' works within and without the group; and furthering art awareness and education in the surrounding community.
