The Public Works facility is home to Engineering Services, Operations, and Facilities & Capital Projects staff offices. The facility houses snow removal equipment & materials, fueling stations, City vehicles, and maintenance equipment & tools. Maintenance & repairs to City vehicles are also performed at this facility. An oil & antifreeze recycling station for use by City residents is located at the entrance.

Most City facilities & offices are closed on June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth, with the exception of the following:

Police Department Administrative Offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Water Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for City of Gaithersburg residents and Aquatics Members ONLY.
The Community Museum and Interactive Water Feature in Olde Towne Plaza will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Miniature Golf Course will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Skate Park will be open from noon to sunset.

The collection of recycled materials will take place as scheduled. Bulk pick up is unavailable.
