  • Introduction: Remarks & ribbon cutting by Mayor Jud Ashman & Montgomery County Council Vice President Sidney Katz.
The Mayor & City Council, along with Montgomery County Council Vice President Sidney Katz, will officially dedicate the clock in Olde Towne in a special ceremony recognizing Leonard Katz & Sara Wolfson Katz. In 1918, Jacob & Rose Wolfson opened Wolfson’s Department Store, bringing retail opportunity to the developing commercial core in Olde Towne. Wolfson’s welcomed customers for 95 years with Leonard and Sara continuing the family business, followed by Sidney, making it a Gaithersburg staple in this commercial and residential neighborhood.
