DESCRIPTION:<p>Most City offices and facilities are closed on September 7, 2026, with the exception of the following:</p><ul type="disc">    <li><a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/police-station">Police Department Administrative Offices</a> will open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.</li>    <li>The <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/gaithersburg-community-museum">Community Museum</a> &amp; Interactive Water Feature at <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/recreation/parks-fields/olde-towne-plaza">Olde Towne Plaza</a> will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.</li>    <li>The <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/water-park">Water Park</a> will open from noon to 5 p.m. for <strong><span style="color: rgb(21, 113, 138);">City Residents &amp; Aquatics Members ONLY</span>.</strong></li>    <li>The <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/miniature-golf-course">Miniature Golf Course</a> will open from noon to 6 p.m.</li>    <li>The <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/about-us/city-facilities/skate-park">Skate Park</a> will open from noon to sunset.</li></ul><p><a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/services/recycling-bulk-pickup/recycling-holiday-schedule">Recycling will be collected the preceding Saturday, September 5, 2026</a>. <a href="https://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/services/recycling-bulk-pickup/bulk-pickup">Bulk pickup</a> is unavailable.</p><p>Regular trash and garbage collection for City residents is handled by private contractors.
