Suspect Arrested for Assault & Discharge of a Weapon
On June 5, detectives charged Mohammd Hussein Saeed Al-Haris with assault related charges & the discharge of a weapon.
On June 5, 2019, detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Investigations Section charged Mohammd Hussein Saeed Al-Haris, age 24 of Ellington Boulevard in Gaithersburg, Maryland, with assault related charges and the discharge of a weapon within City limits.
On January 2, 2019, at 2:06 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Ellington Boulevard for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arriving, it was determined that individuals inside the Old Town Pour House were involved in a verbal altercation. As the bar closed and the individuals exited, the argument continued outside. At some point, an unknown suspect discharged an unknown weapon, striking two victims. The weapon used was believed to be a pellet gun. Both victims sustained minor injuries.
During the investigation, Al-Haris was developed as a suspect and as a result, an arrest warrant was obtained. Al-Haris is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center without bond.
