Pickleball, a paddle sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages & skill levels, is one of the fastest growing activities in the country. Those new to pickleball are invited to learn more about it during free drop-in play on Friday mornings from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Intermediate & advanced play takes place on Wednesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. and Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon, all at Diamond Farms Park. Paddles & balls are provided by Gaithersburg Sports, a division of the Department of Parks, Recreation & Culture.

Due to the popularity of the sport, pickleball lines have recently been added to a number of tennis courts in City parks, Including Diamond Farms Park, Green Park, Malcolm King Park, & Morris Park. Explore the amenities of all of the City’s parks on the Parks & Fields page.

In addition to drop-in pickleball, the City also coordinates pickleball leagues and tournament play. Other adult sports offerings include coed softball, indoor and outdoor volleyball, tennis, bowling, and spring and fall golf tournaments.
