The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering and enforcing purchasing policies and procedures; identifying and establishing procurement strategies, methods and processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations and contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. In addition, vendors may subscribe to the City’s eNewsletter to receive email notifications when new solicitations are published.

Utility Sub-Metering Bohrer Park & Robertson Park Youth Center

The City is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide all labor, materials, tools & equipment necessary to perform construction & installation of a central metering system for high use utilities including water, natural gas & electrical submeters as designed & required by the City at the following locations:

  1. Bohrer Park located at 506 S. Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20877, which includes the Activity Center, Water Park, Skate Park & Miniature Golf Course, with dedicated out-buildings for service, large restroom/locker room facilities, as well as a Hospice Caring facility & a residential property known as the Kellerman House;
  2. Robertson Park Youth Center located at 801 Rabbitt Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878, which includes a Youth Center building that supports two baseball fields & two soccer/football fields.
