The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering and enforcing purchasing policies and procedures; identifying and establishing procurement strategies, methods and processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations and contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. The City is seeking sealed bids to provide construction services for the repair of the Rabbitt Road Culverts located in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The culverts consist of three (3) 96-inch diameter CMP pipes, with each having a length of approximately 171-feet. The work includes the removal and replacement of the concrete inverts along the entire length of all three culverts, the installation of a coal tar epoxy coating along all exposed metal areas above the concrete inverts, plus additional spot repair work. The culvert location is affected by a stream closure period from March 1 – June 15.
