The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering & enforcing purchasing policies & procedures; identifying & establishing procurement strategies, methods & processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations & contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. In addition, vendors may subscribe to the City’s eNewsletter to receive email notifications when new solicitations are published.

Crown Farm Park Construction

The City is accepting formal proposals to hire a qualified Contractor to construct Crown Farm Park, a 2.99-acre community park located at 415 Decoverly Drive, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20878. All work under the Contract shall be performed in accordance with the Design Drawings, incorporated herein as Exhibit A, and Specifications, incorporated herein as Exhibit B, all of which are available for download from the Procurement Webpage. The Design Drawings and the Specifications are hereinafter referred to together as (“Plans and Specifications”).

Please note that the Plans and Specifications portray the design intent of the project.

The estimated duration of the Construction Phase of the Project, to include final acceptance and administrative “close out,” is approximately 240 days.
