The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering & enforcing purchasing policies & procedures; identifying & establishing procurement strategies, methods & processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations & contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. In addition, vendors may subscribe to the City’s eNewsletter to receive email notifications when new solicitations are published.

The City is seeking a qualified Contractor to provide construction services to renovate office spaces in a City facility located at: Bohrer Park Activity Center , 506 S. Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877.

The existing systems have reached the end of their service life. Therefore, this essential power system upgrade is necessary to ensure reliable, upgraded power for critical services and sustained operational resilience.

The goal of renovating office spaces at the Activity Center is to convert existing open cubicles spaces into enclosed offices to increase staffing capacity and improve staff efficiency and comfort and, expand kitchenette space to improve useability by reducing archive space to accommodate seating area.
