The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments, responsible for administering and enforcing purchasing policies and procedures; identifying and establishing procurement strategies, methods and processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations and contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. In addition, vendors may subscribe to the City’s eNewsletter to receive email notifications when new solicitations are published.

Fire Alarm, Sprinkler and Fire Hydrant Testing, Inspection, Repair and Replacement

The City is seeking sealed proposals to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor to provide quarterly and annual inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement and installation services for fire alarm, sprinkler, fire extinguisher, and fire protection systems in City facilities. The term of the contract shall be a two year with the possibility of three additional one-year extensions.

The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, transportation, parking fees, tools-of-the-trade including specialized diagnostic testing equipment, consumable supplies, and materials as required to provide comprehensive preventive maintenance, testing and inspection on all fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire suppression systems and fire protection systems in City-owned and leased facilities listed herein.
