Due to stringent guidelines to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus Virus, closing dates for bids & proposals will be amended as needed. Bidders & offerors should continue to monitor the procurement web page for new amendments.

The City operates under a decentralized procurement system; individual Departments are responsible for purchasing those goods and services required to perform their functions. The Procurement Division acts as a liaison between Departments and is responsible for administering and enforcing purchasing policies and procedures; identifying and establishing procurement strategies, methods and processes; and providing assistance with solicitation development, negotiations and contract awards.

All formal solicitations and select informal solicitations (requests for quotes) will be published here and be advertised on the State of Maryland’s eMaryland Marketplace. Vendors interested in doing business with the City should register with eMaryland Marketplace. In addition, vendors may subscribe to the City’s eNewsletter to receive email notifications when new solicitations are published.

Construction Access for Stream Restoration Project

  • Department:City Manager's Office, Public Works
  • RFP Number:RFI-2018-024
  • Start Date:04/20/2018 8:00 AM
  • Close Date:05/11/2018 1:00 PM

The City is seeking contractor direction on the best method to gain construction access to a portion of a stream restoration project. There is a narrow path which is immediately adjacent to regional pond, so care must be taken to not impact the pond during construction. There are other physical constraints making it difficult to understand whether path stabilization, temporary sheeting and shoring, or permanent shoring may be the best option for access. Therefore, the City is seeking your recommendation on how to provide access, including the types of vehicles to be used (size and weight), the method of access, and method of temporary or permanent sheeting/shoring.
