Hours of Operation

Closing and maintenance procedures will begin immediately after the scheduled close time. If you would like to use the showers, please exit the pool prior to closing.

During family recreational swim, the entire pool is open to the general public for informal recreation. Available areas include:

  • Limited lap lanes (1 to 3)
  • Shallow end of the main pool
  • Teach pool
  • Deep water open swim
  • One diving board

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. deep water swim only / 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. diving board use only
Saturday: 3 - 5:30 p.m. deep water swim only / 5:30 - 8 p.m. diving board use only
Sunday: 1 - 3:30 p.m. diving board use only / 3:30 - 6 p.m. deep water swim only

About the Aquatic Center

Built in 1975, the Gaithersburg Aquatic Center is jointly operated by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and the City of Gaithersburg. MCPS manages the facility during school hours, while the City oversees community use after school hours, on weekends, and during summer vacation.

The center features a six-lane, 25-yard main pool with a one-meter diving board and an adjacent shallow-water "teach pool" area. Locker and shower facilities are available for visitors.
