Built in 1975, the Gaithersburg Aquatic Center is owned by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) and operated jointly with the City of Gaithersburg. MCPS operates, schedules and staffs the facility for its use during school hours. The City operates, programs and staffs the pool for community use after school hours, on weekends and during summer vacation.

The Aquatic Center consists of a six-lane, 25-yard main pool with a one-meter diving board as well as an adjacent shallow water “teach pool” area. Lockers and showers are available.

Admission Rates

  • Youth (ages 3 - 17): $4
  • Adults: $5

The Gaithersburg Aquatic Center is available for rent during a limited number of un-programmed hours. Requests will be handled on a first come, first served basis. Requests must be received one month prior to the first rental request date. Policy guidelines and rental request forms are available in the Documents section.
