Construction NoticeThe City has engaged with ELCON Enterprises, Inc., an elevator replacement and maintenance firm, to replace the three passenger elevators that service the Olde Towne Parking Garage. The work will begin on Friday, January 23, and will run through mid-September 2026. The daily work will begin on or about 7 a.m. and will conclude on or around 3 p.m. There will be notification signage posted in the elevator lobbies and on the entry doors on the first floor of the garage. The contractor will be completely replacing the three passenger elevators and other related machinery. Two of the elevators are inside the garage structure and the third is adjacent to the garage in a standalone tower connected to the building via an elevated walkway from the garages’ fourth level. The work will be conducted within the parameters of the City’s Noise Ordinance Code. |
The City’s parking garage features 726 prime parking spaces in the heart of Olde Towne Gaithersburg where you will find free convenient and covered parking. The adjoining pedestrian bridge and glass-front elevator afford safe, convenient passage.
In an effort to free up surface parking for short-term visitor and customer parking, the City enforces parking restrictions in signed, time-restricted lots. The parking garage is available for day-long parking. Please park in unreserved spaces only. No overnight parking is allowed in the garage.
Bicycle Lockers
The City installed bicycle lockers in front of the parking garage in an effort to improve cycling and walking opportunities as outlined in the Gaithersburg Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan.
