The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division provides mapping and data analytic support for the City of Gaithersburg. GIS staff leverage this technology to track and analyze City services and assets and to create maps, reports, and other data visualization products that help inform the City’s policy decisions and improve its business functions.

Our GIS Map & App Gallery features a growing collection of web maps, mapping applications & GIS-based applications. The gallery has a built-in simple map viewer for exploring address & tax parcel information, zoning & recycling pick-up areas, City election voting areas & polling sites, Stormwater Program Fee information, and much more. It also includes a number of Story Maps, which take users on a virtual tour of Olde Towne, historic buildings, public art installations & more to come. The gallery & the linked maps & apps are all accessible from desktop PCs, tablets & smart phones.
