Transparency in Coverage Rule
The link above leads to the machine-readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule, which requires health insurers & employers with self-insured insurance plans to provide cost-sharing data to consumers. The files include negotiated service rates & out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans & healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators & application developers to more easily access & analyze data.
