Election Judge Applications Paused

Student Election Judge applications remain open.

The City is seeking election judge applicants for its 2025 municipal elections in November 2025. Judges are needed for Early Voting and on Election Day for the City’s single Vote Center. A total of 21 volunteers are needed each day. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Click the link below to complete an application to serve as an election judge.

To be eligible for consideration, interested applicants must be registered to vote in Montgomery County. Residency within the City of Gaithersburg is not required. Attendance at an election judge training session is mandatory. More information regarding the time and date of the training session will be provided to applicants via email.

Early Voting is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 26, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Election Day voting will be held on Tuesday, November 4, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Election judges must be available for the full day, including additional time before polls open and after polls close to assist with setup and closing procedures.

Students 16 and older are allowed to assist our election judges at the polls. The students will not be paid, but SSL hours will be available. Students will also be required to attend election judge training.
