West Deer Park Road to Industrial Drive

The City’s Transportation Committee Transportation Committee identified this project as a key connection from West Deer Park Road to Industrial Drive. The City sought feedback during the feasibility design, which ultimately yielded in a preferred alignment. The path will connect Gaithersburg residents and neighborhoods to local business, mass transit opportunities, and provide a low stress connection to Industrial Drive utilizing the existing overpass of I-370. The project is approximately 0.9 miles in length, includes raised boardwalks, newly planted trees.

The City was awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program for the engineering design of the project. The engineering design is planned for completion in late 2027 (subject to change).

The City’s engineering consultant has completed surveys, utility work and the 15% design.
