Courtesy Review Completed 6/21/2022

Over the years the City has been actively working with the community and MCPS to secure schools in Montgomery County. The City was able to secure a site as part of the negotiations related to the Crown Farm Annexation Agreement X-182 on August 7, 2006.  The location has been proposed by Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) as a site for a new high school in the Gaithersburg Cluster. The undeveloped 30 acre site is adjacent to Crown Neighborhood Three and is located at the intersection of Fields Road and Omega Drive. Under the terms of the annexation agreement the City will transfer the site to MCPS when two years of construction funding has been secured. In anticipation of securing the funding, MCPS has been begun its public outreach on the design development of the high school.

The City will also have the opportunity to provide a courtesy review of the site development plan as part of an agreement with MCPS. This will occur after the overall plan for the high school has been finalized.
