Improvements to the Olde Towne Plaza’s interactive water feature, located at the corner of South Summit & East Diamond Avenues, are anticipated to begin the first week of April, 2021, weather permitting, and will continue for approximately two months.

The work will include forming & pouring a new, solid surface concrete splash pad, regrading the site, replacing/modifying the water feature’s light/nozzle units, installing new operating equipment, and installing an underground surge tank for recirculated water.

Work will take place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The construction area will be fenced, and the abutting public parking lot will be closed to accommodate construction vehicles and equipment. The Gaithersburg MARC Commuter Rail Station, the Gaithersburg Community Museum, & History Park will remain accessible during the construction.

No public parking will be allowed at this location during construction. Public parking spaces are available in the Olde Towne Parking Garage and in public surface lots located throughout the Olde Towne business district. The lots are clearly marked.
