The City is renovating Walder Park, which is located at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and West Deer Park Drive. The park is approximately 2.8 acres and was built in the early 1970’s.  Some of the existing park features may remain located where they are or be relocated to a new location.  The intent is to perform a renovation of the entire park site to provide updated amenities, new additional features, and address issues with stormwater runoff into neighboring properties. 

STATUS

The Mayor and City Council passed Resolution R-51-25 for the design and engineering to renovate Walder Park. The contract has been signed, and staff are preparing to begin the design phase. A community outreach meeting will be held at 60% concept design to provide an update on the new intended design outlook.  The date of the community outreach meeting has yet to be determined, but the status will be updated once a date is confirmed.
