Home Main MenuInclusion Program
The Inclusion Program ensures that individuals with disabilities can participate in recreational settings to the fullest of their ability. Participants in our Inclusion Program may be assigned to a companion, whose responsibility is to ensure the participant has a safe and fun experience. Additional accommodations, such as flash passes, fidgets, additional information given to staff, may be made for participants who do not have an assigned companion. All accommodations, including assigned companions, are provided at no additional cost. The objective of this program is to include all participants in the overall recreational setting and encourage their participation in all possible activities. The emphasis is not to give special or unusual attention to participants, which tends to set individuals apart, but to create an atmosphere of friendship and acceptance.
Events
In addition to making accommodations for participants, the Inclusion Program also hosts its own recreational activities during the school year, such as art nights, field trips, Zumba parties, and Sensory Zones at most large City events.
