Christman Park contains a fenced-in fishing pond surrounded by green space. In the fall of 1983, a multiple inversion system was installed in the pond to keep the water from freezing over completely. The 4.3-acre park was deeded to the City in 1967 and was named for Lt. William J. Christman III, a Gaithersburg resident who was killed in Vietnam.

Fishing is allowed at Christman Park. A Maryland non-tidal fishing license is required for those over the age of 16.
