Synthetic Turf Field
The eco-friendly synthetic turf field at Kelley Park stands out for its use of an organic infill made from natural materials that address concerns associated with artificial fields that use black rubber infill. This newer system utilizes engineered wood particles as the infill. The field is available for City programming, Harriet Tubman Elementary School, and other users through a rental reservation process.
Guidelines for Using the Synthetic Turf Field:
- The park and field are open from dawn to dusk. Please note - On school days, Harriet Tubman Elementary School has exclusive use of the field from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Pets are not allowed on the field.
- No food is permitted, including gum and sunflower seeds.
- Only water may be consumed on the field.
- Sharp objects, such as tent stakes and flag poles, are prohibited.
- Unauthorized vehicles or bicycles are not allowed on the field.
- The park and field are open from dawn to dusk.
